The piece represents the after life of a product. As many products we tossed away become residents of landfills, they grow and become a part of their surroundings. Yet these non decomposed products are left out from the ecosystem and be "friend" with the nature. The concrete base and wooden branches represents the natural foundation of the surrounding, and our protagonist, the CD case, had grown into part of nature. Contrasting nature, but yet coherent, as if they were meant to be together.

These CD disk ideas turn out interest me the most, so I started thinking abouting make a CD themed lamp.

Each Seed. D lamp is priced at 30 dollars since the target marketing is RIT students. After 4 days of selling process, 5 out of 6 lamps got sold and I saved the glass base one for grading purpose as one of the requirements of this lamp project.
